<description>It sounds like the lady you mentioned is not happy with herself and uses her child as a excuse to feel sorry for herself. The child will grow up without love and probably be as negitive as his mother (I hope this isn't the case). We all have faults and problems but we shouldn't blame other people especially our children.

		<description>Hi Jen,

I found your blog a few weeks ago and have been reading about you and your wonderful family. Your story from the drug store brought me to tears because I have been there and felt that way so many times. I could have written those words myself! My son Baeden is almost 2 and is also apraxic. He only has a few words, mostly ma, ba, and da (which have MANY different meanings making it a guessing game sometimes!). We sign with Baeden and he is just great at it. He signs about 75 different signs now, so he is able to communicate quite well with us. Our challenge here in Ontario, Canada is that they won't do one-on-one speech therapy with kids until they are about 2 1/2 or 3 because they say that the kids don't have the attention span for it. I disagree, but we have to work within the system :(

I want to thank you for your positive attitude and great outlook on things. It really is uplifting and helps me to come to terms with what we are dealing with as a family and that there are people out there that understand. Friends who don't have special needs children just don't get it. It is so nice to know we aren't alone.

As far as that mother that you were speaking of in your post, I feel sorry for her child because she CLEARLY holds resentment and that child will ultimately suffer for it.

Thanks again and looking forward to hearing great things about Luke's progress!
